High-speed rail savings

Wendell Cox cites Transportation Secy LaHood as admitting that high-speed rail might be a "patchwork" system. That has actually been the suspicion for some time.

But not to worry. Mark Perry cites very low cost (as low as $1 a ride) inter-city bus transportation. With enough such entrepreneurial rescue, the administration can pare down the high-speed rail waste.

Laugh or cry?
